How to use a CBT mock test: timer, question palette and review strategy

A short rehearsal of the test interface helps you spend your timed practice session on the questions. RuleMithra provides its own CBT practice interface. It is not an official examination delivery system and is not affiliated with a third-party testing vendor.

Read the instructions before starting

Check the paper's question count, duration, maximum marks and negative-marking settings. Once an attempt starts, its timer continues even if you refresh or close the page. Reopening an in-progress attempt allows you to resume with the time still available.

Use the question palette deliberately

The palette distinguishes answered, marked for review, answered and marked for review, not answered and not visited questions. A review flag is a reminder; it does not erase a selected answer. Use the section buttons to move to a section, and the unanswered or review filters to narrow the palette when checking your work.

Watch the save status

Selecting an answer updates the screen immediately while saving takes place in the background. Check the pending-save indicator. During a brief disconnection, keep the same tab open and reconnect before the timer expires. Answers that reach the server after expiry cannot be counted; at expiry the server scores the answers it has saved.

Make the text comfortable to read

Use the question text-size controls when needed. Where reviewed translations are available, choose a supported language. If a translation is unavailable, the interface shows English rather than inventing a translation during the test.

Check before final submission

Review the summary of answered, unanswered and unvisited questions. Return to the test if you still have time and want to check a flagged item. After confirming submission, your answers cannot be changed. Use the result and explanation review to decide what to study next.
